First of all there are several work flow approaches that can be implemented when working with your Photogain Stock Area Manager. A lot of members are pleased to find out that the upload manager will automatically detect keywords embedded within your photos and automatically add them to each stock entry. The first one I will describe below assumes you are working with a version of Adobe Photoshop that allows the entering of "File Info" during the photo editing process. The second approach assumes your images are ready to go and helps guide you through the fastest workflow solution utilizing several browser secessions at the same time.
Workflow approach #1: Photoshop pre-keywording:
  • Next to access the area within Photoshop to embed a description and keywords (metadata) click "File" then scroll down and click the "File Info..." menu item or simply use the short cut "Alt+Shift+Ctrl+I".
  • Here you will be able to embed a document title, description, keywords and copyright information as well as several other useful fields of information into your image. (BTW to get the little circle "c" © copyright symbol to show up simply hold down the "alt" key and type 0169 on your numeric keypad)
  • If you are working on several similar images be sure to save this metadata to a metadata template by clicking the small right arrow on the top right hand area of the file info window. Here you can name it appropriately and reuse it again with little or no typing on the next image.
  • After entering this information don't forget to save your image before closing it so these field values are not lost.
  • Now simply login to Photogain.com and go to the stock area and click the "Manage My Stock" link under Image Management. This link is located on the far right-hand side of screen. Also please note that this link will not appear until you are logged in.
  • Next click the "Add Photos" link and then the "Browse" button to locate your images for upload.
  • Since you have embedded your image metadata you can leave the description and keywords fields blank and simply choose you categories and set your price and then click upload.
Workflow approach #2: Multi-browser approach
More coming soon... Hope this is helpful. Rip
