Printer Profiling Services

If you don't have the equipment or the expertise to profile your printer yourself, you can use a vendor who provides printer profiling as a service. The process is basically to:

1. Download the vendor's target files and instructions.
2. Print a target with the printer, paper, and ink combination that you wish to profile. Note: You should purchase a separate profile for each combination of paper and ink that you use with your printer.
3. Mail the printed target(s) to the vendor. The vendor scans your targets and emails you an ICC profile for each one, which you then install.

MediaStreet offers a library ot profiles for several models of Epson printers and combinations of papers and inks that MediaStreet sells. [more info]

They also offer to create custom profiles for about a dozen of the more popular Epson printers, if the standard profiles are not quite right. There's no mention of a fee being charged for this service. [more info]
